Audit methodology and sample access
Fox & Watchdog publishes auditable samples across adverse findings, accurate findings, rejected claims, unpublished claims and archived evidence. Empty categories remain visibly empty.
Independence
External auditors are not treated as Fox & Watchdog reviewers. Their organization, scope, conflicts, methodology, findings, recommendations and our response are recorded separately.
Sampling
Staff can generate signed, checksum-verified packages spanning all required record classes. Auditors may request random, stratified or complete samples. Selection logic and limitations travel with the package.
Reproduction
Audit packages identify stable records, publication manifests, evidence hashes and dataset versions. Auditors report failed reproductions through the public research portal.
Disclosure
An audit is never labeled independent or completed until the named outside auditor actually submits a result. Internal tests appear only as internal system checks.
